Note: There’s supposed to be a hosting update so hopefully the downtime doesn’t interfere too much.

So I’d like to talk a bit more about the comic. One thing I’ve always wondered about was how much I should talk about a comic as it is happening. There’s always that possibility of explaining too much of the comic or spoiling things. I always think “well, it’s a porn comic” like it’s an excuse or the ability to lower expectations but the main purpose of Sexyverse is a porn comic with a story that’s actually good and doesn’t get in the way of the porn. This comic, as well as the others, thrive on nudity and sex. But there’s also a narrative that is woven in and out.

I think of myself as a beginner writer for this. I find it tricky writing porn comics and adding the element of sex and figuring out what the trade off is. If I was writing a comic with no porn element, I can focus on the story and characters. But adding porn is adding something more to all that. And that is fairly new to me. When characters have sex and when the story gets a chance to move forward.

This is the reason why the story focuses on incubi and succubi. And then spinning it from there, powers and rules are added. It adds story to sex. And I think that’s the key to success. I’d like to try a reverse where there’s a story, a laidback or slice of life kind, and nudity and sex are casually woven into it. I just hope to get better at it and I think I’m getting better, too. Glad you are reading all this and enjoying the comic. I normally won’t be talking this much but I’ll be more open about things in the future.
